Business Development Manager

Distribion is a leading provider of web-based software that allows marketing organizations to more efficiently manage the complex needs of distributed marketing through a single integrated platform. Corporate and local marketers, field sales and marketing partners can efficiently create, store, localize, manage and measure marketing communications across channels. Distribion's Distributed Marketing Platform (DMP) is deployed in over 200 companies globally representing over 200,000 users. Distribion is currently seeking to add a Business Development Manager to join our rapidly growing team.

General Position Description

This is a full time business development position. The primary responsibility is to call on marketing executives and introduce Distribion’s value proposition. The role is a business to business sales position located in the Dallas, Texas office of Distribion.

Responsibilities:

  • Self generate new opportunities calling on sales and marketing executives
  • Develop and implement plans and strategies to quickly develop sales territory
  • Appointment setting, online collaborative and in-person presentations
  • Articulate the value proposition of Distribion solution offerings to convert prospects
  • Generate business development proposals to close prospects
  • Close new business and foster existing customer relationships

Requirements:

We are seeking candidates that have a minimum of 1 years of highly successful field sales experience (in the online marketing solutions space) with strong prospecting, proposal development and closing skills.

CANDIDATE SPECIFICATIONS:

  • Interactive Solutions Sales: Ideal candidate MUST have experience selling online marketing solutions to corporate marketing executives. A plus would be selling marketing consulting services, websites, search engine marketing, and analytical tools
  • Sales Experience calling on Sales & Marketing Executives: 1-3 years experience with a proven quota achievements
  • Cold Calling/Prospecting: Documented ability to penetrate new accounts
  • Experience Closing Medium to Large size Deals: $150,000.00 and above
  • Presence/Presentation Skills: Ability to present and develop rapport with sales and marketing professionals
  • Professional Aggressiveness: Entrepreneurial spirit and expressed attitude to achieve - drivers
  • Technical Knowledge: Knowledge and examples of learning technical solutions
  • Sales Process: Display specific methods and approaches to developing accounts, territories and turning those leads and prospects into new sales and customers
  • Ability to Overcome Major Sales Obstacles: Examples of achieving results
  • Communication skills: ability to articulate and communicate compelling business logic
  • Computer skills: Proficient at common office/MS applications, CRM solutions (Salesforce.com) and personal computing

Education:

College degree with a technical and/or marketing background is strongly encouraged.

Compensation:

The compensation package is competitive and is based on a reward for performance structure. There are accelerators and incentives for high achievement. Base + commission.
